NEWS FROM GSNEO AND GSUSA
Beginning in October 2008, GSUSA will be transitioning to new
age levels and new program materials. You may continue to
use the current program materials until September 2010.
My recommendation is to not switch to the new program
materials until your troop bridges to the next age level.

- 2 - 3 - Brownies
- 4 - 5 - Juniors
- 6 - 8 - Cadettes
- 9 - 10 Seniors
- 11 - 12 Ambassadors
New Program Material Terms
Leadership Experience - What
girls DO in Girl Scouting, tied to "Discover, Connect and Take
Action" national leadership outcomes.
Girl Scout Pathways - The way
girls and adults join Girl Scouting. Troop participation
is one way.
Leadership Journeys - How the
scouting experiences achieve leadership outcomes - a.k.a. badges
and awards. All the currents badges will be reformatted to
follow this new "Discover, Connect and Take Action" national

Read these articles that describe the new
leadership model and
earned award model.
NEW VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS
All current and new leaders (01, 02, and troop cookie
chair) will need to fill out a New Volunteer Application
and send it directly to Council. You will also
need a background check and to supply your SSN, DOB, or
Driver's License. All information will be held
confidentially in the Council Human Resources
Department. These forms will be available soon. |
